Starling Hotel Lausanne - Saint Sulpice (Vaud)

The room had a striking view of Lake Geneva and was equipped with a handy mobile device for free calls and internet access. I enjoyed the comfortable bedding and the high-tech features of the room. Breakfast offered a good range of options. I faced issues with the air conditioning. It was challenging to control the temperature, and I ended up quite uncomfortable during the night. Service at the front desk sometimes felt rushed, and requesting extra towels took longer than expected. The shuttle service wasn't very reliable either, leading to some delays while trying to arrange transport. Despite these drawbacks, the hotel's location near EPFL was convenient, just a short walk away. Cleanliness throughout the hotel was commendable, but I did notice a few areas in need of maintenance.

Stayed for 2 nights and was impressed by this very good business hotel. The double room was reasonably spacious with amenities, so that guests had essentials. The staff was very good and courteous, and the service was excellent. I had well presented food for breakfast at the coffee machine.

It was surely a good stay for 2 nights each time. The location convenient to travel downtown was perfect and comfortable.

24-hour reception was helpful, but luggage storage was limited.

Newly opened hotel. Quite room. Within walking distance from EPFL where I joined the two days conference.

Expensive breakfast (additional cost). Extremely low number of breakfast items for high price.

The staff are caring and the room was contemporary with double beds. The location is unbeatable and nice, 1 mile from Swisstech Convention Center.

Convenient Location but Room for Improvement

Easy access to EPFL. Room offered a comfortable ambience, but the lack of attention to minor details like toiletries was disappointing. Enjoyed a decent meal at the restaurant, although choices felt limited. Would recommend for short visits but with tempered expectations.

We received a 'warm' welcome and at all times, people were very friendly & professional. Clean & cosy rooms, excellent service.

The room was lovely & the staff were very professional.

We really enjoyed the live music event one evening. It was perfect for unwinding after a day of exploring! The kids loved the spacious junior suite, and the easy access to the lake for family walks was a definite highlight.

My wife says that extra towels in the room would have been nice.

It was a very modern hotel and for the price was a great deal. It is situated a little far out of the center, about 10mins by car or over 30mins to walk but in general a nice hotel.

Ideal hotel with air conditioned rooms, magnificent views on the mountains. Stunning, magnificent location to Geneva airport. Based close enough to Geneva rail stations and Leman lake and both campuses.

I had a fantastic stay. my room was spacious and the pillow menu was a lifesaver! Breakfast was genuinely delightful, but the communication about breakfast inclusion could be clearer.

The hotel has good aesthetics: nice modern designs. The location is very convenient for both epfl and unil, neither of which have many other nearby hotel options. But it is not really convenient for anywhere else.

The room facilities were not very practical. There are no drawers at all for clothes and just one small rail with four hangers. This is very inconvenient unless you like living out of a suitcase with creased clothes. The double bed is in fact two single beds next to each other, but on wheels and not attached in any way, so they easily move apart leaving a gap. There is no iron in the room. The safe is difficult to access. The shower leaked and the staff did not seem interested to hear about it. Oh, and the promised 'lake view', for which I paid extra, was just a tiny glimpse if you lean out the window and strain your neck sideways.
